•  Our class Valentine’s Day and 100^th day of school celebrations were a lot of fun.  Thank you to everyone for all of your help and support with these holiday festivities.

• Transportation Museum is Friday February 23^rd. Transportation Vehicles are due February 22^nd. If you are unable to work on this project at home, Miss Murray and Mrs. Sage have volunteered to work with students after school on February 16^th  from 2:30-3:30
• There is no school on February 17^th and 20^th. Have a great four day weekend!

• Friday, February 10^th is the 100^th Day of School.  We will be doing some special activities and treats on that day.  More information will be coming. Thank you to everyone for your help and support with this celebration of the number 100.
• Kid’s Can and Inside Out/Backwards Day are February 3^rd.
• CAPE’s Winter Gala is February 11^th.
• There is no school on February 17^th and 20^th.
• With all of the colds and flu viruses going around, this is a great time to more thoroughly wash and sanitize our classroom toys. If you would be willing to take tub of toys or dress up clothes home to clean, please let us know.  Any help with this project would be greatly appreciated.

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for all of the help and donations with our class holiday parties.  Everything went so smoothly and a great time was had by all.  Thank you also for all of your support, cards, and gifts. We appreciate all of your kindness and truly feel grateful to be working together with such wonderful students and families here at CAPE.

• Thank you to everyone for the fabulous treats and wonderful help with our Halloween Party. A great time was had by all!!!!!
• Next week’s color is white and the letters are “Y” and “Z.”  Try to bring a share that goes along with one of these.
• Please check our school’s lost and found.  It is overflowing with jackets and lunch boxes.
• November 4^th is Kids Can.
• No School on November 11^th for Veteran’s Day.
• Beginning Monday, November 14^th both AM and PM Kindergarten classes will come to school at 8:15 to facilitate Parent Teacher Conferences. Please return the note in this week’s folder letting us know if you are able to attend your conference at your assigned time or if you will need to reschedule.
• Our walking field trip to Ralph’s Bakery will be Tuesday, November 15^th. Both AM and PM will come to school in the morning.  Look for more information next week.
•  November 18^th – Thanksgiving Feast with all 3 Kindergarten classes.  Details to come, but we will need Thanksgiving foods brought in for the feast.
• Looking ahead – Mark your calendars for December 15^th   when our Gingerbread Man Play will be performed. 

We are going to be finishing our pumpkin study next week with a big Pumpkin Day event on Wednesday the 26th with our Third Grade Buddies from 8:30 to 9:45.   We will be using our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch to complete many math activities. I have posted a signup sheet on the window in front of our classroom for some mini pumpkins, pumpkin treats, and extra parent volunteers for the day.  Any and all support and help is appreciated.

If you child has any pumpkin allergies, or you would prefer they not eat pumpkin treats, please let me know.

• Next week’s color is brown.
• Pumpkin day will be Wednesday October 26^th. We will be posting sign-up sheets outside the classroom this week.
• Monday October 31^st will be our Halloween parade and party. AM and PM will come in the morning (8:10-11:35) to join in the celebration. More information will be sent home soon!

• Our next field trip is to the Pumpkin Patch on October 21^st.  Please make sure your child’s permission slip is submitted this week. If you would like to drive, make sure that you have an approved “Private Vehicle Transportation Application” on file in the office.
• Next week’s color is pink.
• Picture retake day is October 21^st. We will re-take our pictures before we leave for the field tip. If your child needs to re-take their photo, please make sure they are at school on-time.
• October 31^st our school will be having special Halloween activities. All kindergarteners will come in the AM. All kindergarteners will be dismissed at 11:30.

• We had a wonderful Apple Day.  Thank you to everyone for all of the donations of treats, apples and help.  The students had a great time and were able to weigh, measure, and pattern with apples.
• Our next field trip is to the Pumpkin Patch on October 21^st.  Watch for more information in the weeks ahead.
• Next week’s color is purple.
• Friday, October 7^th is Superhero Day and Kids Can.  Remember to wear your favorite super hero clothes and bring your recyclables to school

• Our first field trip to the Apple Farm is this Friday. Yea!
• Next week’s color is green.
• CAPE-A-Thon is Friday, September 30^th.  If you have not yet turned in your participation form for this event, please do so this week.  There are extras in the office and in our classroom.
